At release, the wine is a dark red with intense blood plum tones and a vibrant purple-red hue.
The wine has lifted aromas of black plum, redcurrant and cherry fruits along with a touch of oak derived savoury spice.
The palate is generous, round and curvaceous with concentrated flavours of raspberry, blackberry, ripe jam and a hint of licorice. Violets and fresh, juicy fruit characters carry through from the nose, supported by a lush texture and vibrant acidity.
The wine was matured in American and French oak barrels for a total of 9 months prior to bottling.
Crafted for immediate enjoyment but will cellar over a medium term under ideal conditions.
