At release, the wine is a deep crimson with a dark purple hue to the edges and an inky blood plum core.

There are lifted aromas of violet and plum with rich notes of aniseed, clove and black pepper along with subtle hints of apricot, tobacco and cinnamon spice.

palate

This is a medium-bodied wine with concentrated flavours of ripe plum, red berries and subtle apricot. The palate is layered and textural, with a natural fruit sweetness balanced by fresh acidity and fine-boned tannins from French oak maturation. Notes of cedar, tobacco and spice add depth, while the finish is long, refined and enjoyable.
