MANAGING DIRECTOR AND THIRD GENERATION WINEMAKER
In 2000, Mitchell Taylor was appointed the third generation Managing Director of Taylors Wines, following in the footsteps of his father Bill Taylor and grandfather Bill Taylor Snr.
Born and raised in Sydney, Mitchell achieved his Bachelor of Commerce at the University of New South Wales in 1984. Upon graduating, Mitchell moved to London and worked in a large stockbroking firm, where he gained valuable business experience. Mitchell completed vintages as a winemaker from 89-97 while studying for his Bachelor of Science – Oenology at Charles Sturt University, which he completed in 1995. An experienced winemaker, Mitchell maintains a very hands-on role at the winery to ensure the quality and consistency of the award winning wine is maintained.
Since Mitchell’s appointment as Managing Director, the Taylor family wine business has experienced a period of sustained market growth and continued to develop their reputation for consistently producing consistently superior quality wines that are respected worldwide.
