Colour | At release, the wine is a bright red with a vibrant purple hue. |
Nose | The wine has enticing, lifted fruit aromas of red currant and cherry fruits with a touch of spice and a very subtle minty, menthol character. |
Palate | Medium-bodied with flavours of ripe cherry and light red berry fruits along with savoury toast and sweet spice. The palate is soft and silky. Subtle oak characters of cinnamon and cedar add to the overall complexity. |
Oak Maturation | The wine was matured for 9 months in a combination of 1 and 2 year old French oak hogshead barrels prior to bottling. |
Cellaring Notes | Crafted for immediate enjoyment but will cellar over a short term under ideal conditions. |
