The wine is distinctly Australian with fresh aromas of passionfruit, rockmelon and guava with a hint of cut grass.

Palate:
This wine has a fresh and zippy palate with regional varietal flavours of tropical fruit up front and then gooseberry and asparagus from the mid-palate. Overall, the wine fills the mouth with flavour and a cleansing acidity. The finish has a hint of grassiness and great persistence.

    Wakefield Estate Sauvignon Blanc 2011

    Daily Telegraph, November 2011

    Bargin white & reds
A blend of two states delivers a subtle beauty of a savvy here - and it's very attractive due to a more delicate approach. Floral to begin with restrained tropical flavours, its great gift is a classy minerally palate not often found at this level. Impressive.

  • Wine. Three of the Best
    Wakefield Estate Sauvignon Blanc 2011

Peter Chapman, Daily Examiner, December 2011

    Wine. Three of the Best
The latest release sauvignon blanc from Taylors once again hits the mark as an excellent affordable wine. Flavours of fresh passionfruit, green apple and gooseberry. Once again will be better with a year or two in the bottle, but still perfect to drink now.
