St. Andrews
Chardonnay 2001
x2
| Region: | Clare Valley |
Silky textured with exceptional length and flavours of peach, nectarine and subtle cashew nuances from quality French oak.
Wine Colour
Golden yellow.
Wine Bouquet
The wine has a bright, lifted aroma of peach and citrus. It has subtle flint, nut and cream like characters on the nose which add interest to the fruit characters.
Wine Palate
The palate is rich in texture with lashings of fruit and cream throughout. The mid palate has a great texture and creaminess from the extended lees maturation and battonage. The finish has cleansing citrus flavours and subtle acid which leaves the mouth feeling fresh.
Cellaring Notes
Designed to drink superbly well upon release, it will also age gracefully with careful cellaring to 2010, possibly longer.
