Wine Colour
A deep red colour in appearance with some developing brick red hues.

Wine Bouquet
The wine exhibits fruit aromas of ripe cherry, licorice and cassis. French Oak nuances of cedar, cinnamon and spice add further complexity. The bouquet is showing some evolution of character with subtle leather and tobacco leaf characters which add to the intrigue of the wine.

Wine Palate
The wine has a rich yet elegant palate with good length from the varietal tannins. Sweet fruit flavours of berry fruit, cassis and fruit cake are evident and the palate of excellent structure; well balanced and with a soft mouthfeel. The finish is distinctive and long, with savory fine tannins complemented with cinnamon and nutmeg spice and vanillin from the French oak maturation.
