Jaraman
Sauvignon Blanc 2011
| Region: | Margaret River & Adelaide Hills |
The gooseberry and green apple characters of the Margaret River combine with enticing tropical fruit and passionfruit flavours from the Adelaide Hills.
On release the wine is a very pale straw colour with a slight green tinge to the edges.
Wine Bouquet
It has intense lifted aromas of cut grass, lychee and citrus along with a hint of dried herbs.
Wine Palate
The Margaret River component contributes intensely concentrated flavours of asparagus and grapefruit along subtle grassy overtones that are typical of this region. The Adelaide Hills parcel delivers mid palate fleshiness along with enticing tropical characters of passionfruit, melon and guava. There is a subtle creaminess to the mid-palate and the wine has a pleasingly chalky acid backbone and finishes with great persistence.
Cellaring Potential
Crafted for immediate enjoyment but will reward careful cellaring to 2014.

Jaraman Sauvignon Blanc 2011Peter Chapman, Fraser Coast Chronicle, November 2011
Taylors have used grapes from the Margaret River and the Adelaide Hills to produce this classy drop. Typical gooseberry, green apple and grassy overtones with enticing tropical fruit and passion fruit flavours. The only question you will ask is if you have another cold one of these in the fridge.
Jaraman Sauvignon Blanc 2011Chris Plummer, Australian Wine Journal, December 2011
Intensely grassy and vegetal and altogether reflecting the stronger hand of its Margaret River component, this 2011 savvy also reveals softer scents of poached pears and passionfruit, as it unloads a fragrance with enough intensity to cut through the open-air odours of summertime outdoor drinking. Drink to 2012.Grape Expectations

Grape Expectations
The idea behind the Jaraman label is to blend fruit from two different regions, in this case Western Australia's Margaret River and the Adelaide Hills. It works a treat here because both regions are known for the quality of their 'savvys'. You'll find aromatic passionfruit, citrus and tropical fruit on the nose and palate, freshly cut grass and herbaceous characters, zippy acidity and a crisp finish. Drink with a seafood platter.
Jaraman Sauvignon Blanc 2011Tony Love, Adelaide Advertiser, December 2011
A mix of Margaret River and Adelaide Hills fruit, with classic sauvignon aromatics, touches of tropical fruits and trademark grassy, citrus notes. It also boasts a flavourful palate and is engagingly refreshing.
