Lisa Perrotti Brown, The Wine Advocate, May 2014

Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, the 2012 Eighty Acres Shiraz Viognier displays notes of ripe plums, warm blackberries and blueberry preserves dotted with hints of vanilla, chocolate and black pepper. Medium to full-bodied and loaded with plenty of expressive blue and black fruit flavors in the mouth intermingling with a baking spice undercurrent, it has a medium level of velvety tannins, lively acid and a long finish. Drink it now to 2018.
