Shiraz Viognier 2005
A distinctive medium-bodied wine that displays rich plum fruit flavours with a touch of spice and a fine persistent finish.Download Full Winemaker Note
Deep red with a slightly purple hue.
This wine has a gorgeous lifted perfume. Blackberries, plums, licorice and apricots are evident in the bouquet upon release. Underlying aromas of vanilla, dark chocolate, violets and cedar add to the complexity of the aroma.
The palate delivers everything that the aromas promise. Juicy plums, blackberry licorice and apricot flavours flow through to the mid palate. This is a well structured and balanced wine with fine tannins which persist well after the wine has been finished.
The wine can be enjoyed now but will benefit from careful cellaring up to and possibly beyond 2012.
