This is the Clare Valley winery's newest range, meaning they now have five basic pricing levels for their wines. The fact this sits second from the bottom in terms of price is quite amazing. It's offering real value. There are mixed berries flavours - some blackberry and red currant - and then you find a line of dark chocolate flavours that add some layered complexity. Cellar if you like, but for me it's tailor-made for good day-to-day quaffing at a price you can afford.

Best Wines of 2011
Lovely porty/licorice-like bouquet, with a fleshy, jammy, plum and black olive-like palate showing earthy notes. Good acid structure.

Warm, spicy plum jam aromas and some nice age complexity on the pretty palate.
