St Andrews new vintage

St Andrews new vintage Wakefield's new St Andrews vintage is here. The 2005 Riesling, 2007 Chardonnay, 2004 Cabernet Sauvignon and 2003 Shiraz have been released. The Riesling has a slight floral perfume with a rich, full structure; the Chardonnay is 'new school' for St Andrews, as it is no longer put through malolactic fermentation. The Cabernet Sauvignon is deep red in colour, with subtle notes from the French oak barrels of nutmeg, cinnamon and cedar and the Shiraz was handpicked and has nuances of black olive, plum and aniseed.
