Food type: Turkey


1 whole turkey
50g butter
1 large onion, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, pressed
4 bacon rashers, chopped
5 cups day-old French bread, cubed
1/3 cup fresh tarragon, chopped
13 cup of walnuts, chopped
2 eggs, whisked
salt and cracked pepper


Melt butter in a saucepan, add the onions, garlic and bacon and cook for 5 minutes or until the onions are soft.

Remove from heat, allow to cool.

Mix together with bread, walnuts, egg, salt and pepper in a bowl. Stuff into turkey, and bake following directions according to size of turkey. Carve and serve.
